hasn't life changed so much?

The world has changed so much. Since my nativity. It has changed indeed. Nobody seems to care. None, in this bustling and ever busy busy Kampala city, to tell me that I was born yesterday. Indeed. Life has changed.
I seem to have outgrown the fears I had as a young, naive mama's boy. "Mama, when will I grow into a big, muscled and strong man like daddy," I ever wondered. Seated calmly, with her at the hearth.
My fears were evident. I never wanted to grow up too fast, like everybody else. I didn't look to that moment when I, like the adults, would begin to fend for myself. And my family, if any, I had. But, then, life has changed so much.
A whole seven months, away from home. Away from no one of my next of kin. Away from my lovely mother, father, brothers and sisters. Life has changed indeed. Even as I walk, sometimes, everyday, on the streets of Kampala, I reflect upon my past, present and wonder how the future is gonna be like.
Expectations of a colourful future, far from the maddening, lacklustre past, are all my mind is obssesed with. Indeed, life has so much changed.
Yours truly, down2earth.
To be continued.......
